Edgar Renteria has shone for two seasons with the Braves and wants to return. But the shortstop has been around the game long enough to know it's possible he could be traded despite his solid performance and popularity. The Braves would have a cheap, able replacement, Yunel Escobar, and Renteria could draw interest from teams looking for a steady player and lineup catalyst. The Braves want to upgrade their starting rotation, and doing so via trade is usually more affordable than going on the free-agent market. "I like it here, but I have no control over that," Renteria said. "If I come back, I'll feel comfortable here. If not, it was my privilege to play here."
