Twins general manager Terry Ryan has decided to resign, a person familiar with the decision told The Associated Press on Thursday. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because an official announcement had not been made. The Twins scheduled a news conference for 2 p.m. to announce a "major" reorganization of its baseball operations. Ryan was in a meeting Thursday and didn't immediately return a telephone call. The Star Tribune also reported Ryan's plan to resign, citing three unnamed sources with the team.
