Alex Rodriguez enjoyed a rare positive reception at Angel Stadium Monday, considering he never played for the Angels and has played for two division rivals and now the Yankees, who have faced the Angels in recent postseason play. Perhaps Angels fans are hoping Rodriguez will opt out of his contract with the Yankees this offseason and sign with their team. Rodriguez has praised Angels manager Mike Scioscia in the past and Angels owner Arte Moreno has spoken highly of A-Rod. Still, many believe Moreno would be reluctant to pay a player as much as it would take to ink Rodriguez - upward of $25 million per season in a long-term deal.
