Fernando Rodney went on the disabled list late last month to rest his shoulder. He has made five appearances since returning from the DL. He got the final out of the eighth inning Friday night after allowing an RBI triple. "My arm feels good," he said. "I think I'm throwing good pitches. I've been inconsistent high and low with my fastball." Manager Jim Leyland agrees. He has said that when Rodney was successful last season, he threw high fastballs and low change-ups. Milwaukee's Bill Hall hit a low fastball from Rodney for the game-winning homer Wednesday night. "I've been watching a lot of tapes of myself from last year," Rodney said. "I'm trying to get more consistent. I will keep working. I know I can do better. I hope it helps me to pitch a lot in the warm weather."
