Mets right-hander Orlando "El Duque" Hernandez, on the disabled list with bursitis in his right shoulder, pitched in another simulated game on Sunday, tossing 72 pitches in five innings, according to Willie Randolph.
"[He] came through it real nicely," the Mets manager said.
Randolph said Hernandez, who has pitched two simulated games, might pitch in the Mets-Marlins series next weekend.
