Shohei Ohtani gave up five earned runs and nine hits in his start at the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday as the Los Angeles dodgers lost 8-3. Ohtani, who was starting at pitcher for the 10th time this season, was also hit by a line drive in the fourth inning.

Ohtani's earned runs allowed was the most since July 2022, while the nine hits matched his career high as a pitcher.

Ohtani entered Wednesday without a decision and a 3.47 ERA.

Ohtani didn't pitch at all during the 2024 season as he recovered from Tommy John surgery.
