Pirates reliever Matt Capps was suspended for four games and fined Monday for hitting the Brewers' Prince Fielder with a pitch during a 6-3 loss at Milwaukee last week. The penalty, announced Monday by MLB vice president Bob Watson, will start Tuesday unless Capps appeals. Capps hit Fielder high in the right shoulder just after giving up a three-run homer to J.J. Hardy in the seventh inning Saturday. Plate umpire Alfonso Marquez immediately ejected Capps.
