The Athletics on Tuesday placed Bobby Kielty on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left calf. The move is retroactive to Saturday. The injury has been a on-going problem for Kielty, who appeared in just two of the Athletics' last 12 games before leaving Saturday's contest against the Devil Rays in the third inning.
