Royals righthander Gil Meche left Thursday's start against the Orioles with a right hamstring injury. Meche, who signed a five-year, $55 million free-agent contract with the Royals in December, pitched six scoreless innings, allowing seven hits and one walk while striking out five in the 2-1, 10-inning loss.
