Frank Thomas will return this season, but his role will be uncertain, White Sox trainer Herm Schneider predicted to the Chicago Tribune. "After two weeks, we'll re-evaluate and see where he is," Schneider told the paper. Schneider will meet with Thomas when the Sox return home Aug. 3. Dr. Richard Ferkel is to examine Thomas in Southern California on Tuesday. Thomas will undergo a CAT scan to determine if there is any other damage.
