Dodgers shortstop Rafael Furcal suffered a sprained left ankle and was removed from Thursday's Grapefruit League contest with the Orioles. Furcal suffered the injury in the top of the first inning when Baltimore's Corey Patterson opened the contest with a fly ball to shallow center field. The speedy Furcal made the catch before colliding with center fielder Jason Repko, who slid to avoid contact. Furcal was taken off the field on a golf cart and went to a hospital for X-rays.
