Sammy Sosa certainly appears destined to make the club. But his contract states that if he isn't added to the 40-man roster by today, he can ask for his release. If he does ? and that isn't likely ? the Rangers would still have 72 hours to add him. The probable scenario is the club asks Sosa's agent, Adam Katz, for an extension so that they have more time to make decisions on other players.
