Bobby Murcer is in great spirits and remains determined to return to the Yankees' YES Network broadcast booth this season.
Murcer is recovering from surgery on Dec. 28 to remove a malignant brain tumor. He has been a Yankees broadcaster since he retired from playing in 1983.
"Nothing is going to stop me," Murcer said Monday during a telephone conference call. "The way I feel today, it will be pretty soon."
There is no timetable for when he will resume working.
