But Williams declined the offer, and the Yankees are only looking forward. When Torre was asked if Abreu's injury could lead him to think more about having Williams around, he politely danced around the question. "This is something we're not looking at as long-term," he said. "When you're dealing with two weeks in spring training, you certainly don't want to throw up any flags."
