Brian Sabean's contract expires after this season and Giants owner Peter Magowan said Friday that he would not entertain an extension for his longtime baseball architect until the course of this season becomes clear. ``We will review it toward the end of the year,'' Magowan said. ``I think a lot of Brian. He's one of the best general managers in the game. (But) we've had two disappointing years and we're all accountable. I'm accountable. We're all accountable for performance and I think he understands that.'' Told that it could be interpreted he was putting Sabean on the hot seat, Magowan didn't soften his comments. ``We're all on the hot seat,'' Magowan said. ``I'm on the hot seat. I have been since I got here 15 years ago. It just goes with the territory. I don't know how else to say this. I think the world of Brian, I think he's done great things for this organization, I expect he's going to be our general manager in the future. (But) everybody is accountable. And we all know it.''
