Alex Cora is a candidate to manage the Boston Red Sox in 2021.

Cora was a bench coach with the Houston Astros before he guided the Boston Red Sox to the 2018 World Series title. He was suspended for the 2020 season due to the Astros' 2017 sign-stealing scheme.

There are many within the Boston organization that support Cora's return, but he must meet with general manager Chaim Bloom.

The Red Sox fired Ron Roenicke, who replaced Cora, in September.
