Cole Hamels won't be ready for the start of the 2020 season after he suffered a shoulder injury while training.

Hamels is expected to be sidelined for at least three weeks, which won't allow him to get ready for the Atlanta Braves' opener in late March.

He reportedly began experiencing left shoulder discomfort after an exercise involving weighted medicine balls.

Hamels signed a one-year, $18 million deal with the Braves this offseason.
