The Philadelphia Phillies are hiring Joe Girardi as their new manager, a source has confirmed.

Gabe Kapler was fired after two disappointing seasons.

Girardi also interviewed with the New York Mets and Chicago Cubs.

The 55-year-old managed 10 years with the New York Yankees from 2008 to 2017, winning a World Series championship in 2009.
