The Washington Nationals jumped out to a 3-0 lead over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday night and rode Stephen Strasburg to a Game 2 victory.

The NLDS is tied 1-1 as the series shifts east.

Washington's early lead was built via an RBI single by Howie Kendrick in the first inning and RBIs by Adam Eaton and Anthony Rendon in the second. With a 3-0 lead in place, Strasburg took over.

The right-hander struck out 10 Dodgers over six innings. He allowed just three hits and L.A. didn't break through until a sacrifice fly by Justin Turner in the sixth.

With Strasburg out of the game, Max Muncy's solo home run in the seventh brought the Dodgers to within a run. Davey Martinez, however, wasn't fooling around. He brought Max Scherzer out to pitch the eighth, the Nationals held off the Dodgers and added an insurance run in the eighth.

Scherzer is expected to start Game 3 on Sunday night against Hyun-Jun Ryu.
