Astros righthanded reliever Brad Lidge, who lost his closer's job last season, signed a one-year, $5.35 million contract Tuesday. The deal avoided arbitration and includes undisclosed incentives for Lidge, who was considered the best young closer in baseball just over a year ago but was replaced after allowing a handful of big hits.
