The New York Yankees hit a season-high six home runs in their 11-1 win over the Boston Red Sox on Sunday night.

Aaron Hicks became just the third Yankee to have a three-homer game against the Red Sox, joining Lou Gehrig (1927) and Mark Teixeira (2010).

"It feels awesome to be able to be lucky enough to hit three home runs," Hicks said. "I blacked out after the third one. I kind of didn't know what to do. It's exciting. I was really excited after it went out."

The Yankees have set a new team mark with 137 home runs prior to the All-Star break. New York's previous high of 134 came in both 2002 and 2012.
