Gary Sanchez has become the first player in Major League history to hit 19 home runs in his first 45 games.

Sanchez hit two home runs in the New York Yankees' 11-5 win over the Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday night.

He bested Wally Berger of the 1930 Boston Braves, who went deep 19 times in his first 51 games.

"It's hard to believe," Joe Girardi said of Sanchez. "I haven't seen anything like it."
