The Arizona Diamondbacks will place Shelby Miller on the disabled list, according to a report by Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports.

Miller, who was acquired from the Atlanta Braves to be the team's No. 2 starter behind Zack Greinke this past offseason, has struggled mightily.

In 45 2/3 innings over ten starts, Miller has surrendered 7.09 earned runs per nine while walking 30 and striking out 29 batters.

The DL stint will be because of finger issues he's battled since scraping his hand on the mound after releasing pitches.
