The Colorado Rockies set a franchise record with a 13-run fifth inning in their 17-7 win over the San Francisco Giants on Thursday night.

Trevor Story led off the inning with a home run and Nolan Arenado also went deep in the inning.

"I was looking to start off the inning by getting on base," Story said. "I happened to hit a home run. Innings like that are always fun."

It's the most runs scored in an inning by any team since the Arizona Diamondbacks scored 13 in the fourth against the Pittsburgh Pirates on April 11, 2010.

"It's very surprising," Arenado said. "You never see that here. They have a playoff team and good pitching."
