Peter O'Brien made history on Tuesday night with an eighth inning home run in a spring training game between the Arizona Diamondbacks and San Francisco Giants.

O'Brien's fourth home run of the spring was the hardest-hit homer in Statcast history.

He hit a 94.9 mph fastball thrown by Mike Broadway off his bat at a speed of 119.5 mph. It was projected to have traveled 461.6 feet had the left-field concourse not gotten in the way.

Last season, only two balls were hit harder and neither left the ballpark. Giancarlo Stanton launched a 120.3 mph single and a 119.7 mph double.
