The Los Angeles Times and ESPN.com have reported the Dodgers' interest in Placido Polanco, who has been trying to talk his way out of Philadelphia all season because he's unhappy about platooning at second base with Chase Utley. Polanco's preference is to play second, but he'd happily move to the hot corner to join the Dodgers. "That would be great," Polanco said Tuesday night. "I'd have no problem playing third base for [the Dodgers]. They have a great team." The Phillies reportedly prefer to include rookie first baseman Ryan Howard in a trade.
