Giants Manager Bruce Bochy is hoping a few of his former players will follow him up the coast. The club is negotiating with the agents for Mark Loretta, Dave Roberts and Rich Aurilia. A MLB source confirmed that there is mutual interest between the Giants and Loretta, who was an All-Star with Boston last season. While Loretta's primary position is second base, he can play first and third. Roberts is a primary target now that the Dodgers are about to sign Juan Pierre and Gary Matthews Jr., is expected to sign with the Angels. Aurilia is being pursued as a potential solution at third base with versatility to help at other infield positions.
