With Ron Washington now the manager of the Rangers, Texas may become the place players want to play more than any other. Torri Hunter, Barry Zito and Jermaine Dye have all expressed interest in Texas now that Washington is the skipper. "It's definitely a serious thing," said Hunter, a six-time Gold Glove winner who lives in the Metroplex. "Trust me, I've been following what Ron Washington is doing this off-season. I've joked with him, 'Whatever you do, I'm going to follow.'... I'm still at Minnesota, so I've got to worry about the task at hand. I always said I would play in Texas one day. I thought maybe I would finish my career with the Twins, but if that doesn't happen, I would love to wind up in Texas."
