Vernon Wells was on Fan 590 radio with Mike Wilner late last week and reiterated that he thought his chances were "better than 50-50" that he would be with the Jays next year and for many seasons after that. He also said that his coming decision, probably the biggest he'll make in his career, is one that "I kind of just pray about. Hopefully the Lord will guide my steps ... and whisper in the Blue Jays' ear at the same time." Later, he expanded on that for the Star. "You just don't want your flesh to make every decision in your life," he said. "In my life, I've already been blessed in so many ways that ... greed definitely doesn't need to be there. "At the same time, once you make a decision, you don't want to have any doubts. Once things are done with, you want to be happy with whatever situation you're in and go from there.
