Alan Trammell, fired last year as the manager of the Tigers, was hired Monday as the Cubs' bench coach for Lou Piniella. "My wish was to get back on the field and Lou called me with this great opportunity," Trammell said. "This came together very quickly. I'm thrilled it did because Lou has had a lot of success and he's a good man."
