Chris Sale of the Chicago White Sox and Justin Morneau of the Colorado Rockies were each leading tight races after the first 36 hours of balloting in the All-Star Game Final Vote.

Morneau jumped out to an early, but narrow, National League lead, trailed most closely by Anthony Rizzo and Justin Upton. Anthony Rendon and Casey McGehee were running fourth and fifth, respectively.

Sale, the winning pitcher of last year's All-Star Game, broke out in front of the AL nominees. Garrett Richards, Rick Porcello and Corey Kluber followed Sale most closely. Dallas Keuchel was in fifth place.
