Robinson Cano is back in New York City for Tuesday's series with the Yankees and the Seattle Mariners star was a guest on "The Tonight Show" with Jimmy Fallon.

Cano discussed the reception he will receive at Yankee Stadium.

"The way I left New York, I left in a good way. I'll hopefully get a good standing ovation. But if it's not I'm going to have fun. I'm still going to have some love for the New York fans, for all those years I was here. They were so patient and so kind to me, and I really want to thank them for that," he said.

Cano left New York after signing a 10-year, $240 million contract with the Mariners.

He took part in a man-on-the street bit for the show. The camera followed Cano as he took to the streets of New York and stepped into a phone booth-like box with a life-sized photo on the cover. Yankee fans were invited to boo Cano, until he stepped out to greet them.

Cano then got a hug or handshake from every guy who booed him.
