Chicago Cubs general manager Jim Hendry wrapped up his first round of interviews after spending Thursday talking to former Arizona manager and current TV analyst Bob Brenly for the vacant managerial job. "I spent all afternoon with Bob," Hendry told Chicago media on Thursday. "Obviously, it was different from the other interviews in the fact that Bob sees our club on a daily basis, so it was good to get a lot of opinions from him on the players we're contemplating bringing back or not bringing back. "It was educational. Bob has a World Series ring and has seen all facets of Major League Baseball. It was an enjoyable day. It went well, and Bob handled himself very well."
