The Boston Red Sox will not consider playing Mike Napoli at catcher when the World Series shifts to St. Louis and the designated hitter spot is removed, according to John Farrell.

"No, the one outside view might be to put Mike Napoli behind the plate, but we wouldn't do that," Farrell said. "One or the other is going to sit, unfortunately."

Ortiz has been Boston's DH, while Napoli has played first base. The assumption is that Ortiz will play first in the National League city and Napoli will come off the bench for defense late in games.
