The New York Yankees have denied the Chicago Cubs and reportedly the Washington Nationals permission to meet with manager Joe Girardi.

The Yankees offered Girardi a contract last week, believed to be worth $12 million to $15 million over three seasons. He is under contract with New York through the end of the month.
