The Seattle Mariners probably won't begin the process of hiring a new manager for another week to 10 days.

Jack Zduriencik is still compiling a list of names. Teams in the playoffs could also affect Seattle's timeline.

The Mariners didn't intend on searching for a manager. Eric Wedge announced last week that he would not return in 2014, citing organizational differences.
