Jacoby Ellsbury has a non-displaced compression fracture in his right foot and the Boston Red Sox expect him to return this season.

Ellsbury slammed a foul ball off the foot on Aug. 28.

John Farrell said that Ellsbury will remain in his walking boot for five days, and that the team will see how he responds to treatment thereafter.

"We feel like he'll return this year," said Farrell. "We're hopeful of the regular season."
