The Atlanta Braves have placed Dan Uggla on the disabled list so that he can undergo corrective eye surgery.

Tyler Pastornicky has been recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett and will play second base.

Uggla, hitting only .186, has battled eye problems this season and has experimented with contact lenses.
