Robinson Cano left Tuesday night's All-Star Game in the first inning after being hit in the leg by a Matt Harvey pitch.

Cano was checked on and initially trotted to first base after the ball appeared to hit him in the knee. Moments later, he was pulled and replaced by Dustin Pedroia as a runner.

The injury was later described as a thigh contusion.

"It hit my quad," Cano told the media in a press conference. "Everything was negative."

He didn't guarantee they he'd be in the lineup for the Yankees on Friday night, but downplayed the injury.

"They said just put ice on it for a few days. No pain, just a little tight," Cano said.
