Yasiel Puig has registered 52 total bases through his first 19 Major League games.

Through 73 at-bats, Puig is hitting .425/.462/.712 with six home runs and 12 RBI. He has two stolen bases and 17 strikeouts (against just three walks).

Using a list of players with the most total bases through their first 19 games, he has comparables ranging from Chris Dickerson and Josh Rutledge to Willie McCovey and Joe DiMaggio.

David Schoenfield writes that DiMaggio and Jeff Francoeur are Puig's most likely comparables.

"I'd suggest Puig's future could range from DiMaggio to Francouer -- yes, that's how wide of an arc we have to put over him right now. His raw ability is so immense, with that great opposite-field power -- four of his six home runs have gone to right-center or right -- and his plus defense that he could grow into an MVP candidate someday," writes Schoenfield.
