Mark Teixeira left Saturday's game against the Angels with a recurrence of the right wrist injury that cost him the first 53 games of the season.

Teixeira went to Joe Girardi after his second at-bat, a foul-out to third base in the third inning, and reported discomfort in the wrist he originally injured while practicing with Team USA in early March.

"He just came to us and said he just feels like there's not a lot of strength there," Girardi said. "I think he just doesn't feel that he has the whip that he normally has hitting left-handed."
