The Chicago Cubs will re-evaluate Matt Garza to determine the next step in the right-hander's rehabilitation after he was scratched from a scheduled start for Double-A Tennessee on Wednesday.

Garza is dealing with soreness in his right arm as he comes off a strained left lat suffered Feb. 17 during a live batting practice session.

"Hopefully, it's just routine normal soreness, dead arm, whatever you want to call it," Dale Sveum said.

Cubs general manager Jed Hoyer said the good news is that Garza's problems have nothing to do with his right elbow.
