Ruben Sierra, who hoped to join the Mets in the minors and get a September call-up, won't be signing on after all. "Unfortunately, Ruben's mother is having surgery this week in Mexico and he won't be returning to the States until late next week," agent Chuck Berry said. "It is unlikely that anything will happen with the Mets."
