David Ortiz was not in Boston's starting lineup Sunday, resting up for a big week in which the Red Sox play two division leaders, the Tigers and Yankees. Ortiz had missed just one game this season. He leads the majors with 110 RBIss and is tied with Philadelphia's Ryan Howard for the big league homer lead with 41. Manny Ramirez replaced him at designated hitter and Wily Mo Pena took Ramirez's spot in left field against the Orioles on Sunday.
