The San Francisco Giants won their second World Series in three years, defeating the Detroit Tigers in Game 4 by a final score of 4-3.

Marco Scutaro drove in Ryan Theriot from second base with a two-out, RBI single in the top of the 10th inning to give the Giants the go-ahead run.

Sergio Romo struck out the side in the bottom of the inning, catching Miguel Cabrera looking for the final out.

Matt Cain gave up three earned runs over seven innings for the Giants, while Max Scherzer went 6.1 and also allowing three earned runs for the Tigers.

Cain gave up home runs to Cabrera and Delmon Young.

The Giants took the lead in the top of the second when Brandon Belt drove in Hunter Pence with a triple, and regained the lead in the 6th on a two-run homer by Buster Posey.

Pablo Sandoval was named World Series MVP.
