The Athletics beat the Rangers on Tuesday night to force a deciding game for the American League West title in the 2012 finale.

After 161 games, Oakland and Texas are tied atop the division.

"As long as we believe inside this clubhouse and we know we can get it (done), we're going to do it. I honestly believe we're going to win tomorrow," Grant Balfour said of the A's. "Nothing is guaranteed, but it's about as good as. I believe we can go out and get it done."

Oakland was 13 games behind Texas on June 30.

The Rangers had held sole possession of the AL West lead since April 9.
