The Mets officially have locked up the left side of their infield through the remainder of the decade.
Three days after signing electric shortstop Jose Reyes to a long-term deal, the Mets inked All-Star third baseman David Wright to a six-year contract extension on Sunday.
The deal will pay Wright $55 million and includes a club option for 2013. Reyes' contract was a four-year, $23.25 million deal with a team option for 2011.
