Robin Ventura has shuffled his team's rotation as the White Sox prepare for the final week of the season.

Hector Santiago will start Wednesday night's series finale against the Indians. The move puts a left-hander on the mound against Cleveland and gives the rest of Chicago's starters an additional day of rest.

"Most of it is just getting those guys an extra day," Ventura said. "Even watching Chris [Sale], he's at a different point than he's been at in his career. It's just good to get him an extra day. Whenever that's happened, he's been a little stronger."

The White Sox have a half-game lead over the Tigers in the American League Central. They are 4.5 games back of the second Wild Card should they fail to win the division.
