Omar Vizquel hit an RBI double in the first game of a doubleheader against the Yankees on Wednesday afternoon, the 2,874th hit of his Major League career.

The base knock moved Vizquel past Babe Ruth on baseball's all-time hits list. The 45-year-old had tied Ruth with a fourth-inning single to right off Andy Pettitte.

He is third on the hits list of active players behind stars Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez.
