They won't make an official decision until about a month from now, but the Mets don't appear inclined to shuffle the staff under manager Terry Collins.
It was reported earlier in the week that Collins would remain on as the team's manager despite a horrible second half.
"I think the coaching staff has done a solid job," general manager Sandy Alderson said. "Obviously we haven't gotten the production out of the bullpen we would have liked, but I am not sure that is related to any coach. But Dan has done a nice job over the last couple of years, and I do believe he has developed a rapport with many of the pitchers."
